The modern workforce is no longer confined to a single space or device, demanding simple, secure, and consistent solutions to thrive in an ever-evolving environment. In response, Cisco and AT&T have announced new offerings, including Cisco’s Webex Calling and SD-WAN solutions integrated with AT&T’s mobile network, to enhance connectivity and transform the calling landscape for the hybrid workforce.

These new solutions aim to provide a seamless, reliable, and mobile-first experience, allowing users to work on their devices while on the go. As mobile phones become the primary business device, organizations require connectivity solutions that are manageable, secure, and adaptable. This integration features a single number mobile identity, which combines an AT&T wireless smartphone with Webex Calling for greater functionality in communications.

In addition, this partnership aims to reduce costs for enterprise customers by lessening the reliance on traditional fixed business lines. AT&T Cloud Voice with Webex Go offers crystal-clear voice quality using AT&T’s fast and reliable nationwide mobile network, while enabling users to elevate calls to a more immersive Webex collaboration experience across the Webex App and devices.

Moreover, the integration will enhance fast, efficient, and secure collaboration regardless of the user’s location. This will support improved knowledge sharing and facilitate quicker decision-making. AT&T Cloud Voice with Webex Go will be available for all Webex Calling users from Cisco partners in the United States later this year.

Demand for unified experiences over secure site-to-site and cloud connectivity is on the rise, leading Cisco and AT&T to collaborate on providing secure on-demand SD-WAN connectivity over mobile 5G and fiber broadband for businesses of all sizes. For small and medium businesses, AT&T will launch a new self-service option for simplifying SD-WAN deployment through AT&T Business Wi-Fi with Cisco Meraki.

Larger enterprises can benefit from AT&T SD-WAN with Cisco, a managed connectivity solution with built-in security and analytics. This offering empowers users to confidently connect to any application in their multicloud through a secure access service edge (SASE)-enabled architecture, ensuring integrated security and application optimization.

In addition, Cisco will allow AT&T wireless connectivity to be embedded into their devices, enabling zero-touch provisioning for customers of both companies through AT&T Control Center powered by Cisco.

Jonathan Davidson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Networking, said, “Hybrid work only works when experiences are unified—simple, secure, and consistent. Together with AT&T, we are giving businesses what they need to securely connect everything and everyone—wherever they are.” Mike Troiano, Senior Vice President, Product & Pricing at AT&T, added that the partnership is aimed at “unlocking new levels of productivity, agility, and connectivity—enabling teams to thrive in the modern work landscape.”
