The Connected Britain Awards is a benchmark event that shines a light on the pioneers crafting Britain’s digital landscape. This year logged a record number of submissions across our 15 award categories, as innovators vie for recognition in advancing the digital sphere.

The annoucement of winners will mark the grand finale of Day One at Connected Britain. Awaiting this auspicious event, let’s rendezvous at the official shortlist for 2023:

Competing for the B2B Service Provider of the Year Award, under Digital Infrastructure’s patronage, are: Gigabit Networks, Giganet, ITS Technology Group, Pangea, Truespeed and Vodafone Business UK.

The Broadband Provider of the Year Award, backed by VETRO, will be fought over by: Brsk Ltd, Fibrus, Giganet, Lightning Fibre, Truespeed, Wessex Internet and Wildanet.

In the Digital Skills Award category, the finalists are: Dorset Council, Innovation Nottinghamshire, Kent County Council (Digital Kent), Lloyds Banking Group and We Are Digital, Vodafone Business & Enterprise Nation.

Competing for the Enterprise Solution of the Year are: Eseye Infinity IoT Platform, IFS’s Planning & Scheduling Optimization (PSO), Jetty, Qualcomm Technologies, VETRO, and Vitruvi Software.

Moving to the Project Rollout Award, the contenders are: CityFibre, County Broadband Ltd, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) and LCR Connect, Lothian Broadband Networks (LBN), Openreach and Truespeed.

For the Access Innovation Award, the finalists include: Avanti Communications, DexGreen Ltd, Lothian Broadband Networks (LBN), Norfolk County Council, and Scottish Water and Atos using Starlink.

The Barrier Removal Award has CityFibre, Intelligens Consulting with Renfrewshire Council, Kent County Council, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Lothian Broadband Networks, and Trenches Law in the fray.

Competing for the Community Improvement Award are: Coventry City Council’s #CovConnects, FullFibre, Get Online London, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Ogi, Sunderland City Council, Three Discovery and Wildanet.

The Full Fibre ISP Innovation Award, sponsored by Calix, has shortlisted finalists that include: Brsk Ltd, Gigabit Networks, Giganet, Hey! Broadband, Hyperoptic and TalkTalk Wholesale Services.

The Industrial Innovation Award finalists are: Dexgreen Ltd, Neutral Wireless, Prodapt OpenFibreXchange, Vodafone, and Zeti Limited.

The Smart Places Award, championed by ITS, is being contested by projects like the Connected for Success initiative in Sunderland, FarrPoint Western Isles IoT Project, Living Map Ltd, NYnet Ltd / North Yorkshire Council and Virgin Media O2 consortium.

Wildcards nominated for the Wireless Innovation Award are: EdgeQ, FreshWave with the City of London Corporation, Jangala, Neutral Wireless, Quickline Communications and the collaboration between Scottish Water, Blackspot Networks and Atos.

Rising Star hopefuls comprise Chris Founds, Franck Courbon, Haseeb Ahmed, James Harris, Liam Ceaplen and Phil Bairsto.

The Sustainability Award, brought by euNetworks, lists FarrPoint Western Isles IoT Project, iLOQ Oy, KCOM, Openreach, Wildanet and Zayo: Zeus as the contenders.

Finally, the Startup of the Year Award includes Artifeel, AssetHUB, Emu Analytics, Groundhawk io, Inteliports, Jetty, Lumilinks, SecHard, Stacuity and Weaver Labs.
