The distinguished panel of judges had a busy few months, meticulously scrutinizing entries for each category. A multitude of award presenters and generous sponsors were on hand to add an extra sparkle to the proceedings.

The stage was set with the award for B2B Service of the Year, taken home by Telia Company for its innovative Global IoT Connectivity solution. The jury was enthralled by this “elegant spin on global network aggregation” and praised its potential in paving the way for a more vibrant IoT landscape.

Next, PT Telekomunikasi Selular, or Telkomsel, was lauded for their Indico project in the Best Digital Transformation Programme category. The project aims to reshape Indonesia’s digital ecosystem by supporting digital customer engagement across different verticals, and was recognized for its clear vision and dedication to positive societal change.

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison was awarded for the Best Network Transformation Initiative, demonstrating a perfect example of a successful merger. The project swiftly and effectively harmonized two networks, overcoming challenging geographic and cultural landscapes.

The Best Operator in an Emerging Market award went to Digicel Group. By providing support for education, community projects, and mobile banking in addition to crucial infrastructure, Digicel has proved itself to be a force for positive change in Haiti.

Apart from these awards, an impressive array of winning telecom solutions graced the spotlight. One such instance was the dynamic collaboration between Singtel & Ericsson for the 5G Award. Their innovative use of network slicing demonstrated a successful route towards monetization.

Meanwhile, KT was crowned as the Operator of the Year and also collected the Future Award for their work on Urban Air Mobility (UAM). The company’s approach was praised not only for its potential to alleviate congestion and pollution locally but also globally.

The illustrious list of winners extended to diverse categories like the People & Culture Award, the Cybersecurity Award, the Cloud Award, and else, with deserving winners in each segment. A special mention went to the Olena Lutsenko, Managing Director of Black Sea Region at RETN, who took home the Woman in Telecoms Award for her exceptional leadership in the midst of crisis.

Lastly, the CEO of the Year Award went to Ahmed Mohamud Yusuf of Hormuud Telecom for his unwavering vision to improve people’s lives in Somalia.
